The MultiPlus is an inverter and charger combination supporting easy installation by way of the Victron MK3-USB interface cable, including the following features:
- True sine wave inverter

The PowerAssist feature will enable the unit to supplement the alternative source. The unit will compensate for supply from the battery at times of insufficient power and when no longer required, the excess power will be used for charging. It is therefore no longer necessary to size a generator on the maximum peak load. Use the most efficient size generator instead.
Should there be a grid failure the UPS capability of the inverter is automatically activated. With some units having the ability to enable 6 Multis operating in parallel there is potentially close to uninterrupted and unlimited power.
If three phase power is required, then multiple units can be connected in parallel and configured with the combinations delivering up to 75KW/90 kVA inverter and more than 2000 Amps charging capacity.
Configuring parallel and three-phase systems is made simple with the MultiPlus or the Quattro range both of which bring the possibility of unlimited power with the Multiple system integration functionality.

Multifunctional, with intelligent power management
The MultiPlus is a powerful true sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger that features adaptive charge technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact enclosure. Next to these primary functions, the MultiPlus has several advanced features, as outlined below.
Parallel operation and three phase capability
Up to six Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. In addition to parallel connection, three units can be configured for three-phase output.
PowerControl – Dealing with limited generator, shore side or grid power
With the Multi Control Panel a maximum generator or shore current can be set. The MultiPlus will then take account of other AC loads and use whatever is extra for charging, thus preventing the generator or shore supply from being overloaded.
PowerAssist – Boosting the capacity of shore or generator power
This feature takes the principle of PowerControl to a further dimension. It allows the MultiPlus to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. Where peak power is so often required only for a limited period, the MultiPlus will make sure that insufficient shore or generator power is immediately compensated for by power from the battery. When the load reduces, the spare power is used to recharge the battery.
Four stage adaptive charger and dual bank battery charging
The main output provides a powerful charge to the battery system by means of advanced ‘adaptive charge’ software. The software fine-tunes the three-stage automatic process to suit the condition of the battery, and adds a fourth stage for long periods of float charging. The adaptive charge process is described in more detail on the Phoenix Charger datasheet and on our website, under Technical Information. In addition to this, the MultiPlus will charge a second battery using an independent trickle charge output intended for a main engine or generator starter battery.
High start-up power
Needed to start high inrush loads such as power converters for LED lamps, halogen lamps or electric tools.
Search Mode
When Search Mode is ‘on’, the power consumption of the inverter in no-load operation is decreased by approx. 70%. In this mode the Multi, when operating in inverter mode, is switched off in case of no load or very low load, and switches on every two seconds for a short period. If the output current exceeds a set level, the inverter will continue to operate. If not, the inverter will shut down again.
Programmable relay
By default, the programmable relay is set as an alarm relay, i.e. the relay will de-energise in the event of an alarm or a pre-alarm (inverter almost too hot, ripple on the input almost too high, battery voltage almost too low).
Remote on / off / charger on
Three pole connector to mount an external remote if required.
Remote configuring and monitoring
Install a Cerbo GX or other GX product to connect to the internet. Operational data can be stored and displayed on Victrons Free VRM (Victron Remote Management) website, free of charge.When connected to the internet, systems can be accessed remotely, and settings can be changed.

The MultiPlus-II GX is an Inverter/Charger with device networking built-in, the MultiPlus-II GX communicates with a solar charger, batteries, and other devices to control a grid-connected, off-grid, or remote power installation. Capable of parallel operation for increased power output, or battery charge-rates, the MultiPlus-II GX can also be configured for three-phase supply. A host of advanced features – such as uninterrupted power supply, setting load limits, and supplementing limited grid-power availability with battery power – can all be controlled straight from your phone or smart device. The EasySolar-II GX combines a MPPT Solar Charge Controller, an inverter/charger and control hub in one enclosure. The product is easy to install, with a minimum of wiring.
The all-in-one Solar Power Solution
The Victron EasySolar-II GX integrates the following elements:
- A MultiPlus-II 48/3000/735-32 inverter/charger
- A SmartSolar 250/70 MPPT -Tr solar charge controller
- A GX device with a 2 x 16-character display.
These elements come prewired together inside a single unit. This greatly simplifies most installations, saving time and money.
Display and Wi-Fi

PowerControl is a valuable feature, especially when handling limited power such as generator supply. When the Quattro draws significant current from the generator or shore side supply, set the maximum current limit on each AC input. Considering other loads, the Quattro adapts so that only surplus power is used for charging, thus preventing the generator or mains supply from being overloaded.
The PowerAssist feature will enable the device to supplement the incoming power with power from the battery. Any excess power is used for charging. It is therefore no longer necessary to size a generator on the maximum peak load. Use the most efficient size generator instead.
The advanced ‘adaptive charge’ software fine-tunes the three-stage automatic process to suit the battery condition and how the battery is being used, preventing damage and ensuring less maintenance is required. A fourth stage charge [also called the Storage mode] delivers a longer period of float charging. In addition, the Multiplus will charge a second battery using an independent trickle charge output.
Should there be a grid failure the UPS capability of the inverter is automatically activated. With some units having the ability to enable 6 Multis operating in parallel there is potentially close to uninterrupted and unlimited power.
If three phase power is required, then multiple units can be connected in parallel and configured with the combinations delivering up to 75KW/90 kVA inverter and more than 2000 Amps charging capacity.
