  • Victron Phoenix Inverter 24/5000 230V VE.Bus

    Victron Phoenix Inverter 24/5000 230V VE.Bus

    Phoenix Inverter 24/5000

Pure sine wave output, high peak power and high efficiency. Combined high frequency and line frequency technologies ensure the best of both worlds.

    SinusMax – Superior engineering

Developed for professional duty, the Phoenix range of inverters is suitable for the widest range of applications. The design criteria have been to produce a true sine wave inverter with optimised efficiency but without compromise in performance. Employing hybrid HF technology, the result is a top-quality product with compact dimensions, light in weight and capable of supplying power, problem-free, to any load.

    Extra start-up power

A unique feature of the SinusMax technology is its very high start-up power. Conventional high-frequency technology does not offer such extreme performance. Phoenix Inverters, however, are well suited to power up difficult loads such as refrigeration compressors, electric motors and similar appliances.

    Parallel and 3-phase operation capability

Up to 6 Phoenix Inverters can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Six 24/5000 units, for example, will provide 24kW / 30kVA output power. Operation in a 3-phase configuration is also possible.

    Communications interface

These larger Phoenix inverter models come with a VE.Bus port. All you need to connect to your PC is the Victron MK3- USB VE.Bus to USB interface. Together with the free downloadable VictronConnect or VEConfigure software, the parameters of the inverters can be customised. This includes output voltage and frequency, over and under voltage settings and programming the relay. This relay can for example be used to signal several alarm conditions or to start a generator. The inverters can also be connected to a GX device (eg Cerbo GX) for monitoring and control.

  • Victron Quattro-II 24/5000/120-50/50

    Victron Quattro-II 24/5000/120-50/50

A Quattro, plus ESS (Energy Storage System) functionality

The Quattro-II can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example, the public grid and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro-II will automatically connect to the active source. Similar to the Victron Energy MultiPlus-II, the Quattro-II is also a combined inverter and charger. Additionally, it can accept two AC inputs and automatically connect to the active source. Its many features include a true sine wave inverter, adaptive charging, hybrid PowerAssist technology plus multiple system integration features such as three or split phase operation and parallel operation.

Two AC Inputs & two AC Outputs

The Quattro-II can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example, shore-side power and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro-II will automatically connect to the active source. The main output has no-break functionality. In the event of a grid failure, or shore or generator power being disconnected, the Quattro-II takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption. The second output is live only when AC is available on one of the inputs of the Quattro-II. Loads that should not discharge the battery, such as air-conditioning or a water heater can be connected to this output.

    Unique PowerAssist and PowerControl feature

The Quattro-II will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shoreside supply with power taken from the battery. To implement PowerControl and
PowerAssist and to optimise self-consumption with external current sensing, a Current Transformer Sensor 100A:50mA is required.

A maximum grid or generator current can be set. The Quattro-II will then take account of other AC loads and use whatever is extra for battery charging, thus preventing the generator or grid from being overloaded (PowerControl function). PowerAssist takes the principle of PowerControl to a further dimension. Where peak power is so often required only for a limited period, the Quattro-II will compensate insufficient generator, shore or grid power with power from the battery. When the load reduces, the spare power is used to recharge the battery.

Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation

Up to 6 Quattros-II can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phases or split phase operation is also possible.

    Parallel and 3 Phase operation

Up to 6 Quatros can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Six 24/5000/120 units, for example, will provide 25 kW / 30 kVA output power with 720 Amps charging capacity. In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for three-phase output, and up to 6 sets of three units can be parallel connected per phase for a 75 kW / 90 kVA inverter and more than 2100 Amps charging capacity.

Solar energy: AC power available even during a grid failure

The Quattro-II can be used in off-grid as well as grid-connected PV and other alternative energy systems. It is compatible with both solar charger controllers and grid-tie inverters.

On-site system configuring, monitoring and control

Settings can be changed in a matter of minutes with VEConfigure software (computer or laptop and MK3-USB interface needed). Several monitoring and control options are available such as Victron Energys’ Cerbo GX, Bluetooth (with the optional VE.Bus Smart dongle), Battery Monitor, Digital Multi Control Panel.

    Remote configuring and monitoring

Install a Cerbo GX or other GX product to connect to the internet. Operational data can be stored and displayed on Victron’s VRM (Victron Remote Management) website, free of charge. When connected to the internet, systems can be accessed remotely, and settings can be changed.

Standard Marine, Mobile or Off-grid application

Loads that should shut down when AC input power is not available can be connected to a second output. These loads will be taken into account by the PowerControl and  PowerAssist function in order to limit AC input current to a safe value when AC power is available.

  • Victron Quattro 24/3000/70-50/50 230V VE.Bus

    Victron Quattro 24/3000/70-50/50 230V VE.Bus

The Quattro has two AC Inputs & two AC Outputs meaning two independent power sources can be connected, such as a generator or mains power. The Quattro automatically selects the input where voltage is present with the generator input taking priority.

PowerControl is a valuable feature, especially when handling limited power such as generator supply. When the Quattro draws significant current from the generator or shore side supply, set the maximum current limit on each AC input. Considering other loads, the Quattro adapts so that only surplus power is used for charging, thus preventing the generator or mains supply from being overloaded.

The PowerAssist feature will enable the device to supplement the incoming power with power from the battery. Any excess power is used for charging. It is therefore no longer necessary to size a generator on the maximum peak load. Use the most efficient size generator instead.

The automatic and uninterruptible switching will ensure that if the power supply fails, the device will switch over to inverter operation so fast that loads will be unaffected, making this device an ideal choice for emergency power situations and telecommunications applications.

For three-phase operation, three units can be configured, and additionally, potentially unlimited power supply can be achieved with the Multiple System Integration function, which allows for up to 6 Qattros [24/3000/70, for example], to operate in parallel providing 15kW / 18kVA output power and 420 Amps charging capacity.

For split phase operation, two Quattros would be stacked to provide 120-0-120V, and additional units can be paralleled up to a total of 6 units per phase, to supply up to 30kW / 36kVA of split phase power.

The Quattro can be used in off grid as well as grid connected PV and other alternative energy systems. Loss of mains detection software is available.

Configuring parallel and three-phase systems is made simple with the VEConfigure software tool – the Interface MK3-USB is required.

  • Victron MultiPlus 48/500/6-16 230V VE.Bus

    Victron MultiPlus 48/500/6-16 230V VE.Bus

The MultiPlus is an inverter and charger combination supporting easy installation by way of the Victron MK3-USB interface cable, including the following features:

    • True sine wave inverter
    • Adaptive charging
    • Hybrid PowerAssist
    • PowerControl
    • Multiple system integration

The PowerAssist feature will enable the unit to supplement the alternative source. The unit will compensate for supply from the battery at times of insufficient power and when no longer required, the excess power will be used for charging. It is therefore no longer necessary to size a generator on the maximum peak load. Use the most efficient size generator instead.

Should there be a grid failure the UPS capability of the inverter is automatically activated. With some units having the ability to enable 6 Multis operating in parallel there is potentially close to uninterrupted and unlimited power.

If three phase power is required, then multiple units can be connected in parallel and configured with the combinations delivering up to 75KW/90 kVA inverter and more than 2000 Amps charging capacity.

Configuring parallel and three-phase systems is made simple with the MultiPlus or the Quattro range both of which bring the possibility of unlimited power with the Multiple system integration functionality.
