Delivery Information

Please be aware, due to the wide range shipping requirements demanded by differing products (size, weight, dangerous and fragile goods) and customer locations (regional, city, interstate) we work with a variety of couriers and freight companies with a range of differing policies and procedures.

Door-to-door Delivery
We cannot guarantee door to door delivery for every customer.

Customers in remote areas such as farms, islands, mining camps, small towns, or out-of-towners, etc may need to collect from their nearest freight depot.

Despatch & Shipping Time Frame
Most of our orders are dispatched within 24 hours after payment has cleared.

As Australia is a large and diverse country please allow 5-10 business days for delivery.

Delays
Once in the hands of the couriers, shipping times are outside of our control, but we are here to help if there are issues with the delivery or courier.

Missed Delivery
If for any reason the courier misses you on the delivery day, a card will usually be left for you to call the depot to collect the goods. For a second delivery attempt you may be charged extra freight costs by the courier.

Authority to Leave (ATL)
As described above, we work with a variety of companies with different policies and the nature of the order and delivery location may affect ATL. Sometimes a receiver may be required to provide a signature or to assist with off loading. Some couriers automatically assume ATL whilst others will not acknowledge it.

If you have a specific requirement regarding ATL please notify us at the point of purchase in the free text field provided at checkout. We will use a service that matches your needs where possible.

Once delivery to the address provided has been confirmed, Alt-Tech are not responsible for the security of left items. If you do not have a safe space for items to be left at your home, have your order delivered to a work address, use a parcel locker or PO BOX as suitable.

Shipping Charges & Free Shipping

Free shipping is only available on labelled items.
Free shipping is
only available to major cities, regional hubs or your nearest depot.

For all other items a delivery charge is calculated at checkout based upon the weight and dimensions of products purchased.

Insurance
It is not possible to offer any additional insurance for shipped items

Goods Lost in Transit
Tracking should be in place for most orders but in the unlikely case that an order is lost in transit, we will take all necessary steps to resolve this in alignment with consumer guarantees.
If you are concerned your goods have been lost please contact us through your sales ticket. Please be aware the process of resolution with the courier can take some time, we will endeavor to resolve the issue as promptly as possible.

Goods Damaged in Transit
If items arrive damaged, please notify us through your sales ticket as soon as possible. Please include a description of the damage and images demonstrating damage and we will resolve this in alignment with your rights under consumer guarantee. A refund or replacement will only be issued once the damaged item is received back in store and has undergone assessment.

Incorrect Address
It is the responsibility of the customer to provide the correct address at the point of purchase.
Once an item has shipped there is nothing we can do to to resolve this.
